What movies have you seen lately? What did you like/dislike? My fiancé owns two movie theaters so, if you can believe it, I see a lot of movies. Most recently, I've seen Watchmen, Taken, The International, New in Town, Gran Torino, The Wrestler, The Duchess, and Into the Wild Green Yonder (the latest Futurama movie). Guide for Jrock Concerts?

I'm FINALLY getting Jrock bands that I like having concerts around me (well... 6-7 hrs away, but closest they've been) and I need all the hints I can get since I'm probably going to end up traveling alone. Anyone got any suggestions? Like, how early do you advise getting to the venue before the concert starts? I know some concerts won't let you take in cameras. How do you find that out beforehand? Thanks!

Okay here's the rules, gang! We start with a short list of bands, each with an assigned point value. Each person copies the list from the previous post. Yoshiki's neck surgery?

Received this today from CD Japan: Yoshiki (member of X Japan) undergoes neck surgery on July 27th 2009 at the the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in the U.S. Because of his intense drumming performance, his cervical disc herniation has gotten gradually worse. After his concert in Taiwan, he lost feelings in his left hand, and according to recent news, he is also starting to suffer numbness in his right hand. Haven't heard this info elsewhere, but that's a scary/risky surgery. Best wishes ...

Miyavi wasn't expecting the information to leak out, but he and former singer melody. are hitched and having a baby! His official announcement will be during his performance on April 5. It seems like he's getting a lot of so called "fans" angry by the news, but this fan is 100% happy for Miyavi and melody., wishing them the best of luck and lots of love!

Several years ago, the only way you could purchase a CD by your favorite Japanese band/artist was to go online and pay out the rear for an import and wait for it to ship to you, and the only way to SEE them live was to actually FLY TO JAPAN. Nowadays it seems like every other year, another japanese band is doing a U.S. tour or re-releasing albums through American distributors for $16 or less in HT and F.y.e., and people actually complain about this? I don't get it, you'd think they'd be tickled ...

We consistently bring you good, original content, but there are still plenty of people we haven't reached. How can we change this? What are your ideas for getting our name out there?

XD They are COMPLETELY entertaining. I've recently gotten hold of a copy of the original broadcast of "War of the Worlds" that sent people into panic in the 1930s. There's a free Podcast of it on iTunes, and I think a download of it on The Mercury Theatre website. I can see why people would panic. They made it JUST like a news broadcast. You really just can't beat the sounds of old radio shows, either. Kinda like listening to the old records, full of pops and white-noise.
